Want to play?

Soon there’s going to be a new spot for Chelsea party girls to strut their stuff after hours.  Dukebox, a fun new nightclub situated just off the Fulham Road, opens its doors on Thursday.  The 230-capacity grown-up ‘playground’ features a carousel, a magic roundabout dance podium and seating booths in the guise of Waltzers.  The party piece is one of the club’s signature sharing cocktails.  Try the Egg & Soldier.  A vodka cocktail for 6 people, it comes with its own soundtrack served in a giant egg cup by marching soldiers carrying sparklers.

Opening Thursday 13 September.

Dukebox, 266 Fulham Road, Chelsea SW10 9EL.

Glamorous cocktails, enormous New-York style pizzas and chocolate

Who could ask for anything more?  Chelsea’s Brooklyn Bite is fun, serves up delicious food and you can get pizza by the slice or whole so great if you’re into portion control.  All the pizzas have crazy names like ‘Benny Blanco from the Bronx’ or ‘Sleeping with the fish.’  Just don’t leave without trying the chocolate calzone pizza.  Yep, you read that right.  You won’t know what’s been missing from your life until you’ve tried it.  Great choice for a girl’s night out.

Brooklyn Bite, 342 Kings Road, Chelsea, SW3 5UR.

Non-stop dining

Vingt-Quatre on the Fulham Road is the first upmarket 24 hour eatery and even better, it has a 24 hour licence.  With its relaxed atmosphere and delicious comfort food, it is no surprise that it counts the Chelsea sleb-set like Daniel Radcliffe as fans.  Whether you need a classic breakfast-time hangover cure, a relaxed girlie brunch or a post-night out munch, VQ is perfect.  Try the eggs benedict, squid salad or bangers and mash.  But my favourite part is when the bill comes.  They bring you a shot glass of smarties.
